Local Surfer Wins Professional Event
St. Augustine’s Gabe Kling picked up the biggest victory of his career in August at the Association of Surfing Professionals World Qualifying Series 6 Star Yumeya Billabong Pro in Tahara, Japan. Kling won $15,000 after defeating Ben Bougeois in the final by a score of 13.84-11.83.
Kling is currently 40th on the World Tour and 11th on the World Qualifying Tour.
