My boyfriend has a bit of a jealousy problem. Recently, I found out he’s been snooping through my e-mail account. I don’t think I’ve given him any reason to be jealous, and when I confronted him about it, he said he “was just curious” and he hasn’t acted mad at me. Still, I feel violated. I’m afraid to bring it up again because I really like him, but I kinda feel like I need to. Any advice?

Is Casey O’Connell the Oldest City’s prodigal daughter?

It’s too early to tell – her story is nowhere near complete. For now, she’s just happy to be here.

“I love it,” said the Flagler College graduate turned renowned painter. “I never realized how special this place was.”

O’Connell has been back in St. Augustine for just about two months. But she is settling in more easily than she expected. She found an incredible apartment on the island with a panoramic view of the ocean. It’s doubling as her studio, which has three paintings nearly complete, a fourth on the way and a giant, smiling blue whale on the wall. (more…)

Cotton Jones brings together Page France alum Michael Nau and Whitney McGraw. Under this moniker, they make sun-drenched folk music, laced with glimmers of their rural childhood in Cumberland, Md. Their album, Paranoid Cocoon, finds these two harmonizing their way through a road-weary wanderlust – they’ve lived anywhere from Michigan to Georgia while not touring the country. Cotton Jones makes a pit stop at Café 11 on May 21. While Nau didn’t spill the beans on the true marriage of these lovely crooners, he did wax poetic about communal songwriting, touring’s alternate reality and bad Christian music. (more…)
